I have a master saddle deluxe. Have been using it for close to two years now. Love it, But i'm noticing that the stitching at my lower loops are starting to stretch out (pull out.) I'm starting to get concerned by it.

I recently added a bridge, the BF2 bridge. I'm wondering if this isn't part of the problem. I had noticed it before adding the bridge but it def seems to be getting worse.

I'll try and post a picture soon. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their master saddle? Is it something to be concerned about? Should i notify Buckingham of Wesspur (who i bought it from)?

I personally have had the same thing start to happen to my traverse saddle loops. It happen when I started hooking the lanyard into the side most loops, instead of side D rings. It made lanyarding much more comfortable, but I noticed it started stretching the stitching. I attributed it to the fact it was pulling towards one side of the loop, instead of straight away. In other words force was going almost parallel to the stitching...not perpendicular to the stitching.

I would retire it immediatley. The damage to the stitching is in a critical area.

As climbinghightree stated it could be due to the orentation of the loading being changed with the addition of the bridge. I hope it earned you enough money to afford a replacement

Yup, its time to loose that saddle. It would never make it through safety inspection at a competition.
I think of it like this, the last thing you want to be thinking about when you take that swing at 65 feet in that Tulip Tree, is if you saddle will hold up. Too many other things to be concerned with..... 0.02 thats all

I think you could get this repaired at a shoe repair shop or a (horse) saddle shop. That's if it is just pulled stitches with no damage to the nylon pieces as it appears. Dunno how the official line would see it, but I'd climb on it if it were repaired.

Update,

I talked to sean from wesspur, where i purchased the saddle from. I'm going to send it back to him and he'll in turn send it to buckingham to have it tested and get their take on it.

I thank everyone for there thoughts.

Thanks sean for the help.
