Saddle recommendations

Only saddle I've ever had, or used, is the Buckingham Traverse #1292, but it has served me well.

I think it was JeffGu who said he was pleasantly surprised by a $50 Chicom saddle he found on ebay (I think it was branded "XYGOOD") for a young relative, so I recently ordered a $55 Xinda chinee jobbee with a rope bridge from ebay, to use on smaller stuff where I don't want or need the big Buckingham...will report more after I receive it and look it over.
This here is fucking insanity. Sorry woodwork.

Hi Rico - just got the SLight. Love it (mostly) but I find that it makes my thighs feel a bit 'tired' (probably blood restriction) when I'm hanging at all. I retired the New Tribe Onyx, and decided to try TM. Never had the problem with the Onyx. Is this a 'design' thing or 'just play around with the fit' more. Definitely liking the gear holders/customization ( I like the gear hanging a bit low, so I don't have to move gear depending on the direction I'm twisting, which I found when using the Onyx).

30" Waist so close to your size.
Bruv you need to adjust your hip/ lower Ds webbing. You are fighting balance pt. Loosen those leg pads. When the hip/lower Ds adjustment is correct you should be in neutral when suspended. Not having to hold foward or backward. You should be sitting perfectly erect and comfy.

Skylotec kolibri Waist, side d's, web bridge, saw hook and storage is the greatest. Rigid leg pads is the way to go-standing in spurs or going tip reductions or just hanging.
Tried the Treemo and too much money and atleast 50% less comfortable then the Skylotec and Sequioa was even less comfortable.
Treemo and petzl, you all are just paying for marketing.
I would like to believe everyone about the treemo but I am not there yet, try to convince me some more :tanguero:

Thomas not for everyone's body type.

the rigid pad? that would make sense, I am thick nnnn in the head.
I really want the treemo since so many love it but the feel I got form just hanging in the shop did not convince

That sounds right- I know I feel I'm tipping back, like me feet were coming up. Might have worked it out tonight. Thanks!

Edit ** Yeah, I definitely had cinched up the leg pads TOO tight! Like it was making me almost feel 'somersault-y'.

I have always been interested in the Kolibri. It looks like a killer interpretation of the floating dee/legs strap design I rode for 35 years. Looks like it would be a killer wreaking saddle.

The TreeMo is not the kind of saddle you grab off a rack and just try on. It takes a lot of work to get it dialed in, but once you do its a world class ride!

It really takes a few climbs and tinkering to get it dialed. I am in my 3rd in 8 years and soon to be 4th. I retire saddles early or give them away. Not moving from a TM.

My trainees......lol

I'm in the market for a new saddle and rope and I'm going crazy trying to make the right decision. I'm Currently using a rock climbing harness and I've found the lack of attachment points limiting. One loop in the middle gets really crowded when working with a climb line and lanyard.

I was going to by the buckingham viking but I think I would run into a crowded attachment point, just on the rope bridge. The hip D's are cool but I dont thing I would want to use them for a lanyard and I dont think it would be a good idea to snap biners into the steal O's(am I wrong?).

So then I start looking at the waver rope bridge for 325. Now I'm thinking if I'm going to spend that much I may as well get the ero spartan! funny how harnesses, like everything else, get you into the "just a little more $" and...all the sudden I'm outfitted like a pro and I may only climb a couple dozen times a year.

I just want a good comfortable harness with a rope bridge and a good way to use a lanyard. That spartan looks tempting.

any suggestions?

Being the peace loving humanitarian and general all around good guy that I am I would like to offer you a free trial run on a TreeMo S.light. If your interested PM me and I will ship you the saddle. You can give it go for a few months and send it back when your done. Since saddle are such a personal piece of equipment its always best to try before you buy.

You are a top shotta. Anyone who does not like a TM light is nuts. I am thinking of buying one strictly for rec climbing with my son. I ball up my TM.small but I can ball that super small.
