I've just had a big day out in Lamington National Park today. Did the TreeTop's tour with the kids and a 6km return trek down to Picnic Rock etc ...
... the little one, Lindsay, is only 3yo and walked it all, ask Nathan, it can be tough coming up those hills out of the gorge especially on a little kid.
So I'm a bit stuffed, shot some video and promised the AS site a video... but not a word mentioned here though.
WHY?
Coz I just read this typical sort of crud from that MB's site.
What the heck are you building there MB a sewer? Any person with half a brain would wipe that crap straight off the board and warn if not ban members.
TreeCo, I wondered what that Pixie dig was by the TreeDr guy. He used to post here a fair bit but ended up corrupted along with the others that MB wields his wisdom on.

Censorship and banning are bad things for a forum, and I think Tom D. would agree, based on his comments at AS over the years. Not to mention all the people involved have a lot to offer, when they're not acting like spoiled children.
These threads, whose only purpose is to bait the Treehousers here for a fight, have become tiresome and detract from the site. They do not belong here, or at AS for that matter. I feel bad for Mark and Tom, having their site used as a boxing ring.
Might I suggest the owners send a PM or email to the parities involved asking them to take the trolling elsewhere?

Most of the members here at the Buzz don't realize that in real time these types of things are being said about people that are members here at TreeBuzz. If they did they would have a better picture of how Butch brings conflict here.
There is a lot more than the few lines I've quoted or posted links to going on.
I expect our postings in this thread to vanish....and for the harassment from the TreeHouse to continue. I hope Tom and Mark prove me wrong.

He probably is quite a nice guy, he even makes t-shirts which show photos of himself that the plebs at his dire website can purchase for a small fortune.
Never far away from contoversy; he is a climber who advocates the use of a chainsaw one-handed and lowering branches using your climbing line.
I also admire his courage in the face of adversity - he wears a 50 cent plastic bump cap instead of an ANSI or CE approved climbing helmet.
All in all he is a lovely man who has a great deal of interest in sharing his safety at work inspired message.

I won't speak for Tom, but I for one am not impressed with any of the talk that pertains to anything other than tree care in any other forum EXCEPT this one. Not that I want to see more of this type of nonsense, but it was designed to be the place in site that is as close as you can get to the garbage can. If you must talk about this kind of garbage, at least show some respect and put here so people don't have to follow it if they choose not to. It's the least we can all do. And that is why I moved this thread here. If you are unsure as to where to place a new topic, read the forum's description- it is layed out pretty clear.
I refuse to take sides, and yes, some of you may not see it, but there are sides. And, some may not consider yourselves as on one side or another, but it is evident to the rest of us. And it is childish. Why spend so much time and energy to do something that won't have any positive effect on anyone or anything?
I don't really need to be made aware of past discussions on other sites. That really has no pertinence to what should be going on here. Carry on with your discussions there and start new ones here.
To be quite honest, I don't have much patience for this stuff. I take offense to it since this is my house. Tom and I created it, care for it, and will try to preserve it. I hate the idea of banning people, but if there continues to be a bombardment of personal attacks on one another and childish behavior becomes the pattern, make no mistake about it- you will be warned, and then your IP will be banned. I read evry post here and I see some patterns developing for some that I am watching closely. I'm not going to offer "time-outs". Grow up or we will move on without you.
I am also very tired of PM's I am getting about complaints of certain members. I wish that you would just understand that this is a place where professionalism should shine through. Why don't we try to post in a manner that reflects this? And talk to each other in a respectable manner. Being behind a computer screen shouldn't be an excuse to forget the most basic of social manners. Instead, why not realize that it is possible that the person you are replying to might be more knowlegable than yourself and could teach you something. And why not talk to each other as if they were in your living room - face to face?
What's been said- has been said. Now is where we all get to see what each other are truly made of.
This message is not directed to anyone. It is for everyone. I really hope that 2007 brings a more friendly environment here.
