Rugged camera

My birthday present arrived yesterday.
The camera looks and feels great. Finally I can take a camera up into the trees. My other camera is a Canon EOS 350 with a huge 17-55 2.8 lens and it's no fun taking that one up.
This picture is in lowest (640) resolution but the camera can go up to 14 megapixel and record movie in HD.
Today it's a national holiday (queensday) in Holland so the first 'tree'pictures are due on monday

I almost chose a Lumix of that size. But the one with x 10 zoom. Because after having x 10 zoom in a Canon a few years ago, I won't have one with less. Unless I have both of course.

You new tool description sounds pretty nice. The image quality should be really good.

It's bad weather here so I haven't been out to take any shots. My son has borrowed it to make movies from his magic tricks (Hans Klok, eat your heart out). Those movies look great, even with the bad lightning in the livingroom.
I hope the tiny lens is adequate for the ridiculously oversized 14 megapixel sensor. I think the camera will be in 7 or 5 megapixel modus most of the time. Or the Treebuzz 0.3 modus
