please note, when you look at load ratings for plywood, microlam, and uhmw plastic pads, they show load ratings that are calculated for complete surface contact on the substrate. they have no ratings to span voids. only steel pads have a calculated ratings for spanning voids. outrigger jack loads typicaly approach the GROSS weight of the crane when capacity loads are centered over the outrigger jack.
