ropeRING and multiANCHOR info is up!

Look like great products...I can see the ropeRing as a footlock prusik just can't imagine how many different things you can do with these devices.

Id like to see maybe some setup pics of the different uses, I cant see how any of these products are really any different than current stuff such as ring and rings with an adjuster ring, trunk choking anchor slings, etc.

Def not trying to diss this stuff, looks beautiful, just cant see how its all that different. Just looks to me like their take on current stuff. But I could be way off on this.

Here's a start...

multiSLING configurations

I mentioned this on the comments on the multiSLING youtube vid, but I'm not seeing the value of it. I'm probably over thinking it...but a neat example is at the end of the vid you show the prusik used in the M-Method (great idea, btw. one of those "why didn't I think of that" things)* But anyway- the ring was just in the way (not really in the way- but not providing any value either)

In the examples at the beginning where you're slinging the limb, the setup wasn't providing anything that a $5 webbing loop runner could do (girth the sling, throw on a 'biner, just like you did in the vid)

I will admit that how you ran the second end of your climbing line through while double crotching so that you could use the ring as a slack tender was pretty neat. (but invalid if I'm gonna start carrying around another hitch climber

)

What other uses can y'all think of? I'm waiting for that "Dang, I NEED one!!!" idea... **

love
nick

*I'll tell you why I didn't think of that. I only have one hitch climber...so it would be slightly more challenging to figure out how to connect that extra prusik. Moral of the story: I need to buy another one!

**that's exactly what happened when you put the prusik on the M. I realized I NEED another hitch climber!

Hey whats another 60 bucks for a hitch climber,I think tree stuff has the rapide version for 59.I think what Taylor is trying to illistrate is the versatility of one sling with multiple uses,so essentially you have to carry less stuff.

Taylor, I wonder if you or someone else can explain this "slaice" that they use. A love-child of a splice and a stitch perhaps?!? Very intriguing.

treetools mocked up this pic that shows the diff between a regular stitched splice & a "slaice"

Basically, its tapered.
