Rope Wrench Flow Settings

Alright, we’ll I’ll start. I noticed with my friction setting set at 3 on the RW climbing on 11.7 Samson Hyperclimb with new 10mm epi and a 5 over 1 michiocan ran very well. Impressed because with the zk2 my 10mm wouldnt grab with a michiocan. I’m thinking less friction in the RW engaged my hitch cord better. I’m looking forward to trying 8mm ocean, hrc and epi on a climb line with more friction in the RW and less in the friction hitch since 8mm usually locks up on me. 178# with no gear and my saddle is pretty heavy.

the stiffness of the rope makes a big f
difference. the ZK2 is optimized really for the supple 24 strand poisonivyesque lines. some of the newer more static "srt" lines the ZK2 can really bind up. the newer zk2 for 13mm lines works better for these kinds of lines and still gives the smooth release of the pulley. the Notch can go back and forth.
