Rope snarls

Grrr...is that why they're called snarls? Everytime the Interdimensional Creatures show up they make mischief.

Here is a scientific study about how knots are formed.

A couple of their conclusions confirm our experiences with the Faltmeier Cube. Keeping light, flexible cordage from moving and shuffling will reduce, almost eliminate, snarls...from the cordage and the handler too.

What a job these folks have...sheesh! Put 'em on a tree crew for a week and they would earn some money and get their research done.

In college I had this line of thought: "When I nicely coil up my walkman headphone cord and put it neatly in a bag, why does it never come out even close to a nice, neat coil?"

Serenity NOW! Serenity NOW!

I was thinking that wouldn't it be just as random to come out in a nice, easy way as it is to come out in a snarl? It took me a long line to realize that what I was asking was really: Out of the infinite random arrangements that are possible, why can't it come out in the ONE that I desire?

After much meditation, I realized that my desired outcome was just one random arrangement versus infinity-minus-one random undesirable snarls!

Ever since then, I have been at peace with the world. Ommm. Ommm.
