Rope Runner Pro attachment point

I'm sure someone has done this or asked about it, but I couldn't find the discussion. I was thinking about replacing the main attachment part of the rope runner with a quickie. My desire is to make it a little shorter. I can't see that the main attachment part of the rope runner pro is there for any sort of structural integrity, but maybe I'm wrong.
Has anyone fooled around with this? Wondering if it works.

The slic pin for the quickie won’t fit in the rope runner. And even if it could it would be really hard to pop the pin out when you need to take it on/off of the rope. I use the Omniblock swivabiner and it keeps everything nice and short. It’s just about as compact as you can get while still having a friction saver, swivel, & carabiner

Same.

Maybe this is obvious to everyone but worth noting the pulley goes directly onto the bridge.

Are you using double bridges or an adjustable bridge? Have you tried attaching it with a 90° twist carabiner or link to your bridge (not the ring)?

Is that a positive locking / double locking plate on the side of the pulley?

Yes, same action as all omniblocks.

Those look pretty neat. I like the thought that Rock Exotica puts into their gear, and the finished product is always pretty sexy.

I’d like to see that pulley made with a more symmetrical biner, HMS or oval.

That’s my one gripe about it. I don’t even know if it was meant to be a bridge attachment. Room for improvement

It was not #made for this.. promo videos are more focused on rescue applications and mechanical advantage...

Would be amazing in an oval style carabiner!

I have a feeling that the shape of the biner is specifically engineered to keep the load in line with the swivel. Side loads on the swivel axle are no bueno. I’m sure an oval biner could be made to work, but it would definitely require some serious design work.
