Rope prices

There was a lot of talk a few months ago about rope prices going up. The reason for it was price of oil per barrel. Well, since oil is way down should we expect a decrease or maybe just no increase.
Also is the change in conversion rates going to make things(like rope guides) from Europe cheaper?

Roger that!

We would also like to see something done about the fuel surcharges for freight as well. That is something that the rope mills would like to see as well!

This issue came up in Canada when the Canuck loonie went to par with the US buck. Sherrill was adding 35% to the US catalog pricing. They then switched to a complicated formula that was supposed to reflect the increased value of the dollar. Books as well in general. It took lobbying at the federal level by all those affected to achieve a change.
