rope for speedlining

what kind of rope does everybody use for speedlining

My local marine supply store had a deal on Samson XLS x-tra t. $300 for a 500' spool of 1/2". It has 1% elastic elongation at 30% load, I checked and this is less than the equivalent strength steel cable. I love the stuff and I would reccommend it to anyone. Its not overly heavy and has a great hand for knot tying.

I use 1/2inch stable braid for speedlining it works good.
