Kinda stealing this one from Treedoclang, but we did some limb removal saturday on a white oak, out over a house, had to spiderleg everything back with his GRCS.
He recently acquired a Rock Exotica Penta Plate from treestuff, and lemme tell ya, this thing is the BEST PLATE I HAVE EVER USED!!! Remember the old light blue Petzl paw four hole plate? Think that, but five holes and better surface rounding. We were girth hitching slings directly to the plate, its as round as a 'biner. Very well manufactured, great surface finishing, laser etching on all the holes(numbered 1 - 5), just a very well designed and built plate, great value for the price.
