I love salida , haven't been there in many years . Is that tree in a park with a playground with a teeter totter by chance?

There is definately a play ground but I think the teeter totter is gone. They have built a cool climbing wall though. Cheers!

I guess I'm not the only kid who knocked someone's teeth out on that teeter totter. They are dangerous for rowdies.

I have also climbed some big ass cottonwoods in Salida. We took one down like 12 years ago. It was HUGE!!! The trunk was hollowed out almost perfectly. We trucked the trunk to Taos and sold it to some Navajos who make ceremonial drums out of them.

That's awesome! The cottonwood in the video is probably the biggest I have ever climbed. I contract there about 4 times a year. I love it down there.

Looks like Malinda was REALLY busy in the creation of that one. Never seen any one person's name in credits like that.
I've climbed a good sized Cottonwood in Boulder, but I'm sure it wasn't as big as that puppy. I truly hope to get out to CO again sometime soon.
