Rigguy Cabling

I've used it twice... it works. Until I see some failure pictures and data I feel like they are probably as reliable as dead end splices... but then, I've only used them twice... recently.

Every cable failure I've seen was just plain busted cable, the splices were always intact.

With regular thimble and lag or eye bolt installations, some people feel that when the tree grows over the thimble
so that just the cable is showing, the cable should be replaced because it will now be more subject to breaking because all side to side movement will be focused on the cable where the tree has grown over it which will cause metal fatigue. Prior to being overgrown, the thimble/cable had some side to side/pivoting movement capability which would limit fatigue.

Does the rigguy system have the overgrown cable/lack of play-causing-fatigue built in as soon as it is installed?

I have seen EHS break but we get some high winds down here and have big trees. Most if not all have been at the wire not the eye or the wrap. We use 5/16th if I remember corectly, which has a breaking strenght of 11K+. Some of the cables we have put in where in leads that used 18" eye bolts.
