Rigging webinar

so it is this Friday, but it doesn't say a time or anything, how does it work?

It is live communication, right?

We all can communicate, ask questions or make statements, right?

Generally, there is a question and answer session at the end. 15 minutes or so. During the webinar questions can be submitted via messaging system. You type them in.

It's less confusing this way as there is always a time lag with audio.

Be forewarned. If your looking for earth shattering new techniques a 45 minute webinar is not the place. Certainly a lot of good info, an excellent review and a great intro for those not that versed is multiple rope rigging. Great way to get CEU's. As well!

This is the email I received:

Dear CTSPs,

There is an excellent educational opportunity this Friday. You can obtain 1 CEU for both CTSP as well as your ISA Arborist Certification simply by getting online and dialing in for this TCIA Safety webinar. Here are the details, and a link for registering.

Title: Two Rope Rigging
Time: Friday, January 27, 2:00pm EST
Presented By: Tony Tresselt, CTSP

Description: Some days one rope is just not enough! Often the application of a second rigging line can aid in lessoning work load and limiting property damage. Multiple ropes can spread rigging forces and allow lowering of larger pieces efficiently. However, the direction of force, loads on anchors and rigging points can all change significantly. This webinar will take a look at when more than one rope may be appropriate. We will also look at the changed forces involved and the best use of multiple ropes on the job site.

It is at 2:00PM EST, not 11AM PST as it is for Jeff!

alright, sorry for all the questions, but it does cost something, right? or is it free?

It might be raining here friday, so that might be possible to do it.

I wonder why they do it during the work day though, I guess... because THEY are working?

Okay, thanks, I'll pass then.

I have more credits than i need and I was just a little curious about what is being talked about.

sounds like a good thing for someone getting into more serious rigging and hasn't used two rigging lines.

have fun,

I'll join the discussion if they wanted others with experience to talk about experiences.

Plus Reg would be an even better one to invite.

I promise to let the main speaker speak.

I saw a preview of this webinar yesterday. It looks pretty good. Lots of cutting-edge examples in high quality photos. I think there are still spaces open for the live webinar. But you can get the recorded version and watch it later, if that's easier.

I like the live webinars because you can ask the presenter questions (i.e. dominate his time). LOL!
