RG55 track stump grinder

I don't have a stump grinder but have operated a few. Both brands I have used are Vermeer and Carlton mid sized machines, in the 35-50 hp range.

If I was in the market, I would be looking for a BG80. I like Rayco's grinders.

I ended up pulling the trigger on the 55 horse Rayco on tracks. I’ll give you guys some feedback after we get our backlog of stumps busted out.

If it's been cared for, and not abused, you'll love it's capabilities of a mid sized machine. It'll only be slower on big stumps....especially softwood fast growing trees. It's light weight and easily transportable, with a smaller footprint of larger machines.

Love it so far. Just did a three day stump job where we did around 60 douglas fir stumps average size around 28”. They weren’t green stumps so the guys cranked through them really efficiently.
