retreivable redirect...again

I know this has been disscussed and perhaps someone can send me a link to the past. My question is this. How do i retreive a redirect without removeing the main tie in point?

I attatched a pic. It is a self portrait...I want to know how to remove the redirect(false crotch) at point B when I get to Point C without removing False crotch at point A.

And also...whos on first?

You can't, without a whole lot of messin' around. Way faster and less complicated to just double crotch. Or the M method. Both are retrievable without losing the main.

yes you can retrieve it and its not all that complicated. although i still find double crotching to be easier.

you need to put a harp or a number 2 boat snap on the pulley side of the redirect. you then tie the tail of your rope to the pulley side of the redirect.

when you are done with your RD and you want to get it back you unclip the splice from your harness with a retriever ball or a ring, or a knot in the end.

The ball goes through the caribiner side and catches the harp. then with your tail you pull the whole operation back down to you. its slick.

Jason Deihl or tree dawg is the man on that trick
