Red oak removal Fridley, MN 1/31/11

Red oak removal. Approximately 1/3 of the tree had failed and fallen onto the clients property. Most of the tree was directly over the fence but I was able to bomb quite a bit of the large trunk material into the neighbors yard. Scattered footage, but I think it gets the point across.

Also, this removal was accomplished using both the large and small DMM impact blocks. Marvelous pieces of hardware! I purposely loaded the small block with the knurled anchor pin knob against the stem. No trouble whatsoever! While removing the block the anchor pin was fully engaged (I checked by making sure the anchor sheave did not rotate). However, I did not struggle to loosen the pin. The extremely fine thread tolerance allowed easy threading and unthreading of the pin... even after heavy loads had been placed upon the blocks!

Great video...again we need to get a helmet cam on ya. That looks like a perfect one for it.

Where did you purchase the blocks from?

Another great one Taylor. Keep them coming, please!

Glad to hear that the new DMM blocks are as good as we thought they were going to be. I've got a large one coming from Mayer Power Products.

Love the 362 great saw. Nice work nice video, healthy sized top you lowered out there. I like the communication 'little fartin around...'

Thanks Gord,

Yeah, we did have to fart around with the larger limb that rotated as we stood it up. I had already cut some of the brush off the end as it would have tangled in the tree underneath. Then the darn thing twisted anyway! Not the end of the world, and I'm glad we decided to take the limb this way instead of trying to filter small pieces through the other tree. I love video editing... you can turn a ten minute process into a few seconds!
