Rec climb Pittsburgh area

Anyone around the Pittsburgh area interested in a rec climb? There aren't any that I know of and I've never been involved in one but it's something I'd like to get into to help shake off some of the cobwebs from the slow season. Also enjoy seeing other peoples setups and techniques, but really I just want to get up into some nice trees! Let me know, I'm a fan of SRT (use rope wrench now and have the rope runner on the way with the Treestuff shipment) and I'm itching to climb!
 
Im west of ya near toledo, but id def be interested in either hosting you out here for a couple days or comin out there for a couple to climb with ya!

Also, greg manning is near cleveland i believe, so he might be interested as well.

We got plenty of great guys out this way, and plenty of great trees to explore as well!
 
Yeah Shawn that sounds great! I've been fortunate to get some responses around my area but I'd be good to make my way out there and climb with some new people for sure. I have some family in Cleveland as well, once the weather starts to break we should setup a weekend to get together.
I'm going to be making a few trips out to some state parks around here to find some good trees to climb around in, new to the rec climbing scene but I'm anxious to get involved. Thanks for the response, if you're able to talk to some guys out your way and get a feel for who wants to be involved I'm thinking around May or so I should be ready to make the trip!
 
Sounds like maybe doing like a two day event near you would make sense markly, kinda centrally located. Or even a one day get together, but itd be cool to climb and camp somewhere, maybe along the lake.

But if yall wanted to come out here, we def have plenty to choose from, greg knows, hes seen some of the bigguns out here.
 
We can camp on the frozen lake right now...none of my other friends will try it with me, but it doesn't matter to me. The Columbus guys and I are down for whatever
 
Yeah I'm down to go wherever within reason but certainly don't have a problem meeting in the middle. I need to dust some of the cobwebs off from winter, looks like this coming weekend I'm free (I know it's short notice), doing some sub work next weekend and that's where my schedules at for now.
Definitely amped to meet up though, I'll be getting the Rope Runner next week if it ships on time so maybe after then will be best if anyone wants to try it out. Thanks!
 
Could possibly do next Sunday (15) if that works for you guys? Where were you thinking about meeting up? I should hopefully have the TreeStuff Rope Runner by then, want to put some time on it to get a feel for it.
