They are practicing for when the stimulus plan fails and the world economy fails! then the dollar crashes and becomes worthless. Then people begin to take to the street in complete revolt against all the fools who drove this bus off the cliff with no morals serving the god of this world. Then to restore order the government will try to institute martial law to keep us in line! Hide your weapons people and hold your children close!! the wheels are about to come off!!!
Sunny thoughts from the bright side!!
Cree-py! Taitree, I totally disagree that this is the military preparing for panic in the streets. This is the military preparing for CREATING panic in the streets. The whole 'suspected gun dealer' thing sounds like such a scare tactic. Anyone remember Randy Weaver?
"A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his own government." - Edward Abbey
Careful, Jim. You could be the next Randy Weaver if you step out of line. The government doesn't like people with too many guns in such a small market (As referenced in the attached article). So if you want to protect your freedom at all costs, and own a firearm (or three), this presents a sort of new political quandary, doesn't it? Freedom loving, independent thinking people that are pro-gun? ILLOGICAL! ILLOGICAL! Randy Weaver just wanted to live the simple life and get away from society, but his American dream doesn't fit in our system anymore, apparently. Just thinking out loud here. I guess I am about to spark a fire... Just reacting to that article, really. I am especially suspicious of the military's motive to do it in such a small town.
Don't Republicans with guns generally shoot the wrong people, with explosives, detonate the wrong targets, and with power, declare war on the wrong nations?
Whatever Dick Cheney, Tim McVeigh, and George Bush(s) do, it's always safer to run for cover, or the other way, or stop them before they get a chance.

The other side of the coin is when people sit idly by and do nothing about atrocities. Clinton failing to act in Rwanda pretty much sparked the deadliest conflict since WWII.

She's got appeal, can't disagree there. But so did Paris Hilton in the same kind of way.
Not something I'd bring home to meet Mom, but rather pass the hat amongst my unit for enough to pay for a table dance for some old fart's retirement party. She's fractionally hot until she says something and then even Viagra is useless.
By now we're all wisened to game hunting w/ conservative buddies...wear 100% International Orange AND kevlar over ceramic plates, toot the whistle once every 5 seconds and string bells on your laces and probably shouldn't leave the relative safety of the vehicle.
