The size of the redirect pulley would depend on the angle of the rope going through it and of course the load weight. Generally though redirects are usually used to guide the branches away from the trunk and/or into a suitable landing area. By the time you get to the larger (heavier) wood there are no branches left to put a re direct on anyway.
I know this is being simplistic but its about right.
I've never had a problem with a 50kn ISC as a redirect for branch removal, but I would often place two blue ISC cast blocks in the top of the tree as main anchors, with one of them acting as a small redirect to keep to lowered sections away from the trunk.
This is a permanent set up though, generally I consider a redirect (as implied by this question) to be something that you carry with you and place/remove/replace etc frequently, in that instance the loopie combo works well.
Another thing that I just thought of is that a redirect that is intended purely to make your life more simple (and for the groundie) i.e. to make the rigging process more efficient, doesn't necessarily need to be that strong.
If the redirect is integral to the whole system working then use a larger block type.
