Rayco RG 1620 (JR) Stump Grinder. 20hp Kohler motor. 1989 Model. Self propelled. 373 original hours on working hr meter. Under 36", so it fits inside most back yard gates. The grinder has really seen little use. I am the second owner. I bought it from a retired Navy Senior Chief down the street. He ground stumps as a side business---more like a hobby. It had around 250 hours on it when I bought it, and I used it for about 40 hours before the motor broke a rod. My father-in-law rebuilt it, at around $1,150 in parts and machining labor. The Senior Chief, wanting to buy air filters on the cheap, had used what he thought was an alternative p/n for the filter. My father-in-law says that dirt was probably the cause of the engine failure. Anyway, it runs great now--with a factory Rayco air filter. Reason for selling: I have a local guy who used to grind all of my big stumps, but, as business has increased, I've found that I'm calling him for all my stumps---including the small ones. This grinder just never gets used. It would be good to get it to someone who will get some use out of it. I tried to included a picture of a list of the parts pertaining to the engine rebuild but it is a PDF, and Craigslist won't display it--I can email it if you want (I have all individual receipts on hand). It could use a new cutter wheel belt--I don't mind knocking off a hundred bucks or so for that--Otherwise, I can order the belt and install it, if so desired. Asking $5,000.
