Rayco 45 Super Jr Stump Grinder?

There sweet grinders rayco makes awsome equipment and 90% of the machines are made in house including cylinders so parts availability is never an issure, I took a tour a few years a god and was really impressed with everyone there, expcially Dan one of the salesmen, I also ran a 1645 at the Paul Bunyan show, didt grind with it but drove it around and looked or over.

Sorry the rayco super 45, I own a Carlton 4012 and its a nice grinder just wish it had more hp it's great on my thing up to about 20" diameter then it's just frustrating

27 Kohler, it's still tons better than a Vermeer 252, any thing under 20"
Or so I love the grinder, bigger I try and avoid it. I'm hoping to Build around a 60-100 hp grinder in the next year or two If time permits :)

Mike- Rayco is considered one of the best grinders on the market. I had an issue with an rg 50 several years ago- I ended up speaking with the VP and Rayco and their dealer came through. Good company.

I own a 2013 and a 2014 RG45. A great machine for the money. Easy machine to run due to the command cut feature. The cutter wheel size is what makes it a better machine than the Bandit and Carlton with the same 45 hp Kubota engine.

My 2014 has the remote option. The ground speed is also faster than my RG90, but turning radias is less.

I have had a problem with my rg45 grinder when turning. JR Bowling the owner has done nothing to help me.I an ready to take them to court to get my money back. I will never own another RAYCO grinder again.

I have a clunking noise in the front drive unites when turning to the right. Has any other person having this problem with their RG45 grinder

John bowing the founder is a great guy, from the few times I met him, he seems like a honest guy and really cares about The equipment they designs and build. I'm assuming JR is his son? Hopefully they make the issue right with you. How many years old/ hours until your issue arose? I would thick if it's under warranty they would definitely be willing to take care of it

"Old Man" welcome to TreeBuzz. Make sure they know that people on TreeBuzz are watching to see how this is handled. I was leaning heavily toward a tracked Rayco.

Also if having a machine that works great is your main focus, might I suggest possibly using some subtle diplomacy as you do this? For instance if there is more than one person responsible for ok-ing warranty repairs, just happen to start into the topic with a more proactive customer care minded person.

My rg1635 broke a axle with 150hrs on it but was out of warranty because of time. There was obviously a casting flaw and my dealer agreed but rayco refused to help a bit. In the long run I bought a axle and when it came time to buy a big diesel self propelled I didn't even look in raycos direction due to there terrible customer service. I bought from a different manufacturer, one who will stand behind what they sell

The hours were 47 and about 6 months old. I have only been dealing with the son. They say the noise is norm but the noise was not their when I bought it. This problem has been going on know for about five months know. I am getting a lower this week because they wont do anything.
