Quickie and the Rubber Tubed Hitch Hiker.

I had the same problem when I tried the quickie in my HH2. Looks like I'll be investing in the holster as well. Magnum, if you try it anytime soon wanna post how it goes?

I most certainly will. Going to be a bit just made a large order but I am sure there are a few things I missed.

I've been using the tube for a few weeks. I split it in half and taped it on my hitch cord with electrical tape. It has improved performance big time. I was just about ready to give up on the HH. I'm waiting for my HH Holster in the mail. I still find the knots to be a little frustrating to deal with but the tube makes it much more predictable without needing to constantly adjust it. Just wish I could justify a quickie...they look awesome.

BTW I found that All Gear 11.5 mm line works really well with this set up. It seems to keep it's coating better than Tachyon or Blue Moon so it doesn't get fuzzy as fast.

Justified.............there, I did it for you. You could buy a couple of carabiners for that price and put them in a bucket.
Just let me know you you need any other help with justification, I'm pretty good at it.

I find the Stevedor pretty easy to tie on the Dog Bone.

Haha just spent 6 bills on treestuff and it didn't make the cut. I'll trade you three biners for your quickie though, any day. Thanks for the tip, I'll try the Stevedor out.

any insight why the holster is no longer available to purchase, and the HH2 taken off TS?

I have a HH2 and struggled with tending using a quickie. Now that I know the holster would fit, I have to make my own?

I I can't speak to the holster but I know the quickie is under recall. Theye are supposed to be sending out new pins, the die cast version the holes were very sloppy. check on check on tree stuff I think they have the recall and technical notices posted

Walter make the holster.

True, Richard. However, diogenes' post also referenced the HH2. The HH2 part of the question was the only part where I had seen any info. I suspect some of the un-availability issues with HH2 related items begins with the dissatisfaction over the sell-out to Sherrill that I referenced.

I know that the holster was in the sales and specials section for a couple of months recently.
If it's gone, that doesn't bode well.

On the Quickie. With the recent recall and tech notice, I wonder if any consideration has been given to the wear of that pin/shackle exceeding the tolerances to keep the plungers secure? The pin rotates like a dry pulley sheave.
