Question on if I should return the rope I purchased

Hello,
Sorry if this is in the wrong location. First and for most I'm very new to this. I bought some Teufelberger Safety Blue Climbing Rope during the Black Friday deals on Tree Stuff. I was excitedly looking over the goodies when my hand discovered this. (Please see attached pictures) This is intended for a life line, should I return this or is this not a problem? From what I read this may compromise the rope. Thanks for any assistance!

Email TreeStuff, they just might bend over backwards to make you happy and keep your business... possible they might tell you to keep that one, and get a new one to you as well.

They’ve gone above and beyond for a problem I had before.

I probably do have a climb line or 2 in service in worse shape, but I’d be unhappy if a brand new one showed up like that.

Glad you called in and got it sorted.

To the comment that it was a second quality rope intentionally sold as 1st quality, that doesn't happen. The rope companies don't do that and either does any retailer I know of.

I really didn't in anyway mean to even imply intentionally I'm sorry when said bought/not sold as seconds, but in fact does look like seconds.
.
In fact in longer form of this post started/ not completed before resolved I recommended manuf. /gave address, email, phone as science source, QC etc. and they'd probably by wondering how this got by. But specifically contact retailer final checkpoint first as courtesy and asked if fault was obvious inside bag etc. All along constructed phrasing to see if keyword 'seconds' rang sudden bell with Black Friday deal buyer.... as well as ping out for any return on diff.color being id strand from anyone else.
.
I found my reply unposted today, posted , read newer posts and trimmed efforts to present.
.
I'd think 'damage' is mostly cosmetic, have worked with and lived on worse, would not accept as new. If using would probably butane back splice each thread and let Nature take course.
.
Have heard nothing but good about TreeStuff here or at da'house and really ain't many companies can say that about.
Sorry for any misunderstanding, Peace.
