Q? Omni blocks and rigging slings. Best setup A?

I'm trying to make best use of my omni blocks. However I haven't decided the best way to connect them to a rigging sling (be it a dead eye, whoopie, loopie). And if I do will it have to be a permanent connection Ie spliced into a fixed eye. I would prefer to keep them separate so I can use the most appropriate sized rigging sling for the job.

I'm also looking to minimise hardware so not keen to use a shackle or biner in between.

Attached is a photo of one idea I had to keep it separate. What are you thoughts? Is it safe?

Any other ideas? I am able to splice.

Thanks

As of late I have been preferring to use rings in my rigging, which means my Omni now may serve multiple purposes instead of always being a block mounted on a spar. Most times I girth a webbing strap through the eye, this allows easy disassembly in case I need it for a purpose that the webbing can’t do. I’ve tried a dead eye, Whoopie, and loopie slings all spliced onto it; but this is what works best for me.

Ultra sling girthed on, 7/16" on my 1.5 and 5/8" on the 2.6.
If you girth it on you can always go to a long deadeye, loop runner, or a rope to set a remote anchor.

Just take a good length of rope, slide one end through eye of block, double over rope and tie onto tree with knot of choice. No eye necessary and you can adjust wear points and no splice expense

Mine are all on UltraSlings... 5/8" for the 2.6 and a couple of the 2.0 ones... and 1/2" for a couple of 2.0 and 1.5 ones.
I also have a 1.5 one spliced onto a climbing anchor for MRT that is installed/retrieved from the ground.
They're all Tenex-TEC slings. Usable lengths are in the 3' to 7' range. Easy to splice and easy to use.
