purchasing new chipper

Bandit, hands down. We had more issues with the two vermeers when I worked for another tree company. I own a bandit 200 and that thing is a beast. I chipped up three large pines today and fed the chipper with a mini-loader. The chipper kept asking for more. I have used the 1590 as well. That thing is a major beast, and will eat wood all day with no worries. Just my experience.

Cool,I have a bc1500 for over a year now and really like it but ready for an 18 inch now the Bandit dealer is closer to me than Vermeer for service and i can get a 1590 with the T3 engine so its priced better as well,I'm demoing the 1590 today

Let us know what you think of the 1590. That will be my next chipper when the time comes to up-grade.

1590 all the way I have the 213 hp model.I figured regarding engine size it only burns .6 gallon more diesel per hour and if I'm into it this much might as well go all out for a couple bucks more.I would recommend getting some options such as hydraulic jack which intially I didn't want but my partner did and now love it.The optional fire extinguisher mount, strobe light and spare tire mounted on machine are awesome as well as the winch package and larger feed wheels. When the mini with grapple is around we rarely use the winch but it is nice on crane jobs.
Also get the optional fuel and hydraulic tank locks not the cheesy platic lock ones
Hope this helps I would get all these options again on my next chipper hopefully I won't need one soon as this one is 10 months old
