My english is bad and I rote in German. Thanks to my frend Egi for this Translation!
Too bad that it was only recently when I found all your comments about my Folding Cube on this forum. I think I might like to add a few words.
Is it just an idea or an invention? While everybody may feel entitled to his own interpretation of these two words, one definition can be found at an international patent and trademark office. According to them and their research this Folding Cube is an invention.
But all that is not really important at all. Call it what you like, the fact remains that there is a new piece of equipment on the market. Before anyone judges now how much it should cost I would like to remind you that it is one thing to have an idea but to realise it, develop it and find ways of producing it - is an entirely different story. Just by looking at the Folding Cube you would never guess how many steps and processes and new beginnings were needed to come up with a finished product. I do not want to complain though. For more than 10 years I live from climbing and I want to continue doing just that. All the time and money I invested in the Folding Cube will probably prevent it from ever being profitable. But if - in the future - I do break even or start making a little profit then I think that's only fair. First I will then have to pay off for more than 500 manhours which were invested in the development of the Folding Cube, 500 hours I missed having a secure income with good old treework!
One other thing this whole experience definitely taught me is to respect anyone who is trying to realise such or similar ideas and to be a little careful jumping to conclusions saying who is just after the money and who isn't.
Anyway - my biggest reward is seeing that more and more climbers (and good climbers) appreciate the Folding Cube. It is a quality product for people who value quality and never did I want it to be anything else.

PS. (not translated from Egi!): May this tool be a piece of your equipment wich makes you faster and getting more money.
But most importend; a little bit more enjoing treework!
