Pretty Wild NZ Removal

After just working a project where our equipment and material were delivered by helicopter, I want no part of tree work that involves a helicopter. The rotor wash from a smaller helicopter (1 ton lift capacity) with a 90 ft tether was brutal for about the last 40 ft before the loads were on the ground. I suspect they used a long tether for the tree removal to help reduce the ferocity of the rotor wash. I still can't imagine the difficulty of executing such technical work in a near tornado.

I want no part of this. Everyone has their limits mine is a crane.

I believe I am the right kind of crazy. I would love to get in that tree! Also, their professionalism really turns down the craziness of the job.....a little. Very well thought out, and probably as safe as they could have made it.

This is on my bucket list. Three weeks after I left my first working holiday in NZ, the company I worked for did one. Just missed it. This was definitely well put together and well thought out. Nice execution all around.
