It seems this could be used to store and throw a bit of throw line to advance the climbing line while in the tree.

I remember stealing my parents dish gloves and cutting the fingers off and taping to PVC pipe to make glove guns. Load em with rocks and have wars with ya mates...

Heh I remember sitting at the dinner table and my mum has pulled a packet of gloves maybe 5 pair or something out, and they'd all had the index and pointers surgically removed. Of course she went bananas, then the older brother had to patiently explain to us apprentices later that you steal the whole glove, you don't put the evidence back in the packet.
