Hey I'm wondering if it's ok to girth hitch a loop strap in the pinto like in the picture.

If you put it in a basket formation instead of a choke, it will be stronger.
Yeah I'm aware of that . I want to use it as a fast rigging redirect. Im more concerned about damaging the pinto...it ain't for large piece but I know it always start smaller...then half of the tree is flying....

I guess I'll find a better way to use the pinto than with a loop runner... I don't want to splice something on it..
What's wrong with splicing a piece of tenex in a loop sling? It's really easy to do. All you need it some tape, scissors, a tape measure, and a sharpie. I wouldn't have a problem using one of the heavy duty loop runners for this though when used as a redirect.

i know how to splice thanks. i want to keep the option to do mecanical advantage/ doubleblock with it... i might end up splicing it to a dead eye sling... maybe not tenex
