Pine tree salad

Epic shit pile! Thanks for the nod. Really good vid too. I'm enjoying seeing the evolution of your edits. Pro work as always.
Thank you very much John.
I have expanded the editing software and had a bells and whistles training session with this video ,
I was thinking about your previous comments when I was editing at the end of the vid doing the "Tom" commentary :).
cheers Ben.

the weather people over here seem to be out of tune with the "whats really going on" in the environment.
they predicted a long wet summer we got a record dry cold start then a short hot period with no rain now we are already switching into autumn? the weather is a mystery ball right now.

the dancing log was a classic, the turns rolling on the other logs and then sweeping one along that ends up chocking the big log on the hillside and what you cannot see is it stopped inches away from the fence and fence post - GOLD.
yes this was pre-gopro ;) thank you for noticing (y)

Good stuff man. You've taken making a mess to a whole new level. I saw the rolling log almost hit the fence...yet stopped by the little Jr. log. Nice. Bet you planned it that way, huh? :)
Oh, and I feel for Lucky Tom. He's got a job ahead of him.

I have many happy thoughts for my man Lucky Tom -
He didn't have to do a fence repair as well as clean up after me,
I keep him in work on a regular basis,
that look on his face as I am surveying the carnage - priceless!

seriously the Breakdancing bit was me experimenting with Reg's C.O.B style of face cut and the rest was pure log ballet,
all I had to do was add a soundtrack - one of the finest random tree action moments I have ever managed to have the camera rolling on.
I love Treework so much sometimes I would do it for free,
sometimes......Ben.

sit back and see what's really going on.
no one else on site saw that dance occur and they all looked towards me afterwards with a bemused smile then I realised the slope and the piled up fluff had blocked it off so I was happy to get the footage to demonstrate why I was so ecstatic .

Pfannerman posted a short instagram video recent of a log being lowered past a roof line and said it was extremely close,
when I asked him how close He replied "that you could not fit a sheet of paper between the two of them if I could believe that".
I told him after many years of tree work under the belt that I would believe almost anything when it came down to close calls and near misses - part of the reason I love tree work so much is the heady mix of chaos and order blending together with the variables constantly changing throughout the job/day.

If it was not for tree work taking up so much of my time and energy I do not know how I would have gotten to this point in my life - without it I feel so bored by everything else around me - nothing is a challenge people are so slow and stupid it's like moving around in a pack of arthritic sloths,
so I for one am not looking forward to stopping the gravy train any time real soon.
little bit rant and overshare John but it is just how I feel/think.
Ben.
