Pine Tree Deadwooding

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xwPzUwXHVc

This poor old tree is on the list of great trees in Arizona. That didnt stop the owners from hiring guys with Machettes to hack at it. Years after that , they hired a "proffessional to come "thin" it out.

The tree is now lion tailed and had HUGE holes pokes all over the canopy. The sun is killing the cambium and at least one huge limb over the street has cracked and is severely weakened.
My mission was to remove deadwood and stubsand to document some of the damage.

I made this for my client so I apologize if its long and does not have much entertainment value.

couple of F bombs too...sorry. Recutting stubs for two days made me cranky.

Nicely done Jesse. What kind of pine is that, Stone?
Appeared as though a couple of chainsaw cuts were close to your climbing line. Maybe just the camera angle?
How did you land that job? FN hackers! Where they the lowest bidders?

Nicely done with the two Tie In Points; a great way to position in trees like that. The Hitchclimber shines in that configuration. The RADS is wonderful for work positioning. Do you always set up RADS with krab and pulley in bottom hole?

That is a great video. Thanks for posting.

Is your friction saver with the ring and revolver a tenex loopie sling? Looks cool...

Your commentary was entertaining and educational.

But, it sounded like you were singing to your friction saver when you were retrieving it up in the crown. That kind of creeped me out...
