We had to rig the crane on the shortest rigg possible to keep the other carriageway open and avoid damage to the footpath. On such a short rigg furthestn reach was about 8m from the tops.

We were also restricted to 9.30 to 15.00 for use of any traffic control. The tree was on a steep hill and the crane took well over an hour to sep up. We didn't have the room to crane big tops anyway. So it was 2 days with a crane or rigg the brash down, shorten poles then keep the crane hire to 1 day.

No excuses for 1 handed use, other than I was pushed for time and rushing to drop what I could between traffic light signals. I don't have a better excuse I'm affraid.
