Position available: Philadelphia suburbs
Bucket operator. Just purchased an Altec 60/E70 on 2006 International 4900, 7 speed. Looking for full or part time operator with minimum 7 years experience. Zero tolerance for mistakes. Excellent pay. Must have superb rigging and pruning skills. Climbing when needed is a plus, but should be rare. MUST have a Class B (w/ airbrakes) CDL with clean driving record. Absolutely no drugs or heavy drinking. There is some serious money to be made here for the right person. Work should start some time on May 2011

Having inquired about a few jobs posted here and elsewhere what you think is "great" pay may not be. Like most "help wanted" ads I see here and other forums, define great pay,,,,, is "great" to you $20 an hour or $40 an hour???? If you state a pay range at least I think you will get more replies.

I deleted my post, as I thought it was inappropriate for this site and mean spirited. Sorry.

I wish you luck on finding a good employee.

I can say this, if you work for Daniel, you will definitely learn a lot. A lot more than your mere 7 years experience will have afforded you.
I wish you good luck, Daniel, in your search for a quality team member.

$25-35 depending on skill level.. Plan is to keep my existing bucket, and sub out the new 75'er with an operator, saws, ropes, rigging gear, mats etc.. If all goes well, this person will not be working with me much, if at all.

Every time I give Riggs a call, he tells me next month, except when he's busy, then he names some month that requires a couple flips of the calendar, except when he's REALLY busy, then he just passes.

If the economy doesn't take a nose dive, there should be plenty of work.. Could develop into one full timer, or a couple part timers.. we'll have to see how it plays out.. IF business picks up enough, maybe I'll put it on a second crew.. Either way, with the right person, I smell $$$..

35 sounds like a great rate. The only other guy I know that pays more than that is X

So what exactly must one do for the 35 an hour or is that more bait than anything else.

I make less then that and I have to do everything so that kind of money is more than fair for a bucket operator

$35 is good...

I'm a little unclear??? Is this a position for an employee or a sub-contractor?

What type of benefits do you have? Retirement? Health Insurance?

Is this 40 hours per week?

Is this a 12 month per year position? Or is it seasonal?

Would there by an opportunity for overtime?
