Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

And who wants to bet it won't fall apart?

I own a lot of Petzl gear, they make well made, well researched and thought-out gear!

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

YES YES YES!! I love it!! Looks like they include the hi-vis stickers? And the visor looks great, and its ANSI Z87 approved. IMO great answer to the KASK Helmet

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

Looks nice! Vented vertex with visor sounds like the ticket.

I like how the adjustments for the headband are under the ear. Wonder if they'll dig in at all?

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

Ill be interested to see how they fit. I've always felt that Petzl lacked that truely dialed feel, always feeling either too tight or too loose, just off by one click.

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

wow, good price BB :) I'm thinking they will be better designed, better thought out, and most of all, SIDE impact protected not just top ;)

Petzl does most things very well and spend a lot of time in R&D; if more ITCC dudes wore the Sequoia's, they would be everywhere, but the fact the the TM was partly designed by a 5-6 time( ?) world champ ITCC guy?

well, figure it out :) lol

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

Awesome. Kask just sent me my replacement for my crappy and cruddy generation one helmet. Here's a surprise. It's the same stupid generation 1 helmet with the same stupid muff adaptors. It took them this long to send me the same crappy helmet back?!

Guess who's going to own a new Petzl helmet by Tcia? Yep. Me.

Ps. I have plenty or visors and the "winter cap" never worn that fits in the kask helmet if anyone is interested. I'm over this crap

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

Marc, did ya notice the new Petzl's have STANDARD muff attachments? for peltors and such ;)

and they are less expensive...weird eh?

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

Again. I'll be interested to see how the Petzl fits both head band wise and on my head. This isn't a suspension helmet so I think it'll be a nice fit.

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

I don't know, my Kask fits like a glove. It's going to be hard to replace it, even if parts of it are falling off.

Is everyone who bought a first generation Kask getting a replacement helmet?

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

yeah, but the kask is not side impact rated, what if something smacks ya there? or you fall and whack the side of the helmet? that is why i got rid of mine and climb in my vertex now :)

Re: Petzl\'s rebuttal to the Kask

One thing I would add though to the ALVEO would be a screen over the vent spots just like the Kask. I think those are nice to keep out the sawdust.
