Petzl products on the low low...

So I know a guy that knows a guy (I know my brother) that can get petzl gear at a reduced price, discount varies on each product. Usually like 15-30% tho so if your looking into anything petzl related shoot me a line and I'll see what kind of price he can get on it. I've scored a bunch of screw locking and accessory spirit biners, few visors and absorbent padding for my vertex helmet. Luckily I found srt before getting myself a zig zag. But either way just thought I'd spread the love and help some people out if anyone's interested. Climb safe

All I want is some Petzl information. In the reviews section at MY FAVORITE "tree stuff" retailer (hint-hint), a fellow made the following comment about his Petzl Sequoia saddle: "My only complaint with this saddle is that the d rings loosen up the saddle in the configuration it comes in. With a little re-routing of the strap the problem goes away. The petzl rep showed us how to re-route the strap and said that was the only solution for the problem right now." I'm having the same issue with my Petzl Avao saddle and want to know how to re-route the strap.

Ahh...don't need anything now. Generous offer Keith! Thanks.
Merle no problem it's just a friends and family thing but I guess it's not making me any friends. Thanks for the kind words, climb safe.

Sorry bud not my review. Mines below that one. I'm pretty sure he's referring to the bridge adjustment. I did the same with mine, I'll get you a pic if your truly interested. And yes Treestuff is my favorite retailer as well, but after spending every feasible dollars there on arborist specific gear, tools, clothing, and ppe I try and save a few bucks where I can. So if rei sends me a 20% off coupon I'm probably going to get a Biner... Or in this case my brother can get 20% off I'm going to get a few...not interested that's fine. Problem wrong with me doing this? Ok just say so and I will delete the post. Im not trying to ruffle any feathers around here just trying to extend a good deal. Sorry if it's out of line.

Bridge adjustment? I did see the Petzl instructions for those straps. I was thinking that review was talking about how using the D-rings cause the main belt straps to loosen. I find this occurs when I'm hanging by the center D-ring (on the Avao saddle) and use a positioning lanyard connected to the side D-rings ... also when using a flipline along with a high TIP to the center D-ring. If there's no fix for that, I'll be shopping for a new saddle. I love everything else about the Avao saddle, especially its light weight, but this issue recently became evident and I find it extremely disturbing (Im being polite when I really wanna say WTF!!!).

Keith,
Ever heard the term greenhorn, newbie, or skippy? Take it with a grain of salt man, like those on a Petzl. All in fun.

While appreciated, I wouldn't go around extending this offer online. I don't know what the circumstances of your brothers discount are, but having worked in the outdoor industry for 10 years, I can tell you that companies do not appreciate discounts being offered around. They are almost always exclusively for personal use. People get fired and pro deals are cut off regularly if abuse of the discount is discovered.
Just a heads up.
