Well, in case of someone who is from places like Walmart crowd levels of individual confronting to you that aggressively ? For a cart wasn't returned at proper section? Ok, what if I pull out my wallet and dropped a receipt paper and totally forgot about it ? Some one goes off that " ITS A GAWDAM WHITE PAPER ! AND YOU JUST DROPPED IT AND POLUTE THE CITY YOU SCUM BAG !! YOU F' ED UP ! HEY WHERE YOU GOING ? WHERE YOH GOING BOZO ! like that ?

Well, I'm not encouraging to just leave the car in that way but in that case , it's best to not to engage with them in anyway but just move on . Diss them. Walk off.

Instead of adding another post subtly fetishizing righteous violence, I'll just say I 100% give people shit for not returning their carts at stores- politely without raised voice

if you are able to push it to your car, you can also push it back. If you need help, ask for help instead of leaving a minor problem for other people.

Well, I'm not encouraging to everyone to just leave the cart wherever they want to leave it. And being accused against that action is also needs to be proper reaction from the accuser.

Yes , your reaction is 110% proper action to take. Point out the issue without raising one's voise to the individual who left the shopp8ng cart directly convey your opinion about what OP did . That's how civilized two parties should engage for the issues.

However, in this case , the accuser is already escalating into yelling & screaming levels thru his car window is One ( for shopping cart... ) , Second , it seems there is nothing you can do in that case as OP describing in that situation it seems like.

The accuser was hair pin trigger obsessive compulsive disorder type and god knows what he is going to do next step with that acceleration rate with its issue & point he wanted to make.

Gosh , I remember a guy who is crazy over my mole on my neck and screaming & taunting spreading and making fun of some stupid physical differences against me in my class room that i have an mole ... Humiliatiling me LMAO We were kids back then so I digress but yes , there are some super crazy people out there even among adults ....just grow up already....

By the contrast of its situation , he in his car with his initial mood & how he described over accuser it's situation there are possibilities of the opponent might be equipped with a piece and might develop into a worst case scenario as well .
Can you imagine someone screaming at you thru the car window for shopping cart left at parking lot .... Like possessed staff sergeant with out No titles in ranks . . or fake police officers without uniform but hi-Viz shopping cart handler attires ... LoL

I bet he or she Still wants to fight argues or quickly smiles and walk off from him as OP returns its cart to proper location as accuser pointed out ? I dont know.
And the way he described I would say the accuser might would be jumping on to him it sounded like. So my suggestion is to stay in a car so he can get some what levels of material protections and securing better ways to scramble out from the possible worst case situations or location & just leave the scene.
I mean he might had broke the rule of the super market but he needs to detained or being yelled at from top of idiot's lungs ?
I hardly think so . It's like some idiot restaurant cleaner guy excessively and violently sweeping his bloom right in front of customers who are eating at table. Yeah I understand it's his job to do and he is doing his job quite seriously. Perhaps way too seriously . But if you think about entire situations it's way off over the top to sweep so vigorously to cause dusts to flying up into the air right in front of it's customers who are eating. Samething. At least he does not need to yelling at the customer who just had happened or even intentionally left a cart at parking lot .
With that attitude , that parking lot cart attendant pulls him out from it's vehicle slam his body to the ground then put his knee over the Ops neck then twist his arms till his shoulders gonna dislocated just because of op didn't put it back his shopping cart into correct locations. It's just too much.

I would like to remind that the cart wouldn't reliably back out of the tight spot without munging the $80,000 car. I figure after I pulled ahead a bit the guy was able to maneuver the cart.

I find on the rammy road rage drivers, Fridays after lunch till early evening are the worst, followed by general rush hours, for a slower moving trailered rig. Makes you feel like a pylon.

Great observations with our regular daily lives by the way . I thought that too as well .
We have to put into the considerations that those shopping cart attendant workers are literally mentally disabled person since they were born and must have asperger's syndrome or autism spectrums as you pointed out.
They are so cute and innocent when they are young but after they are fully grown as adult and starts to showing thier very picky , cheeky and obsessive characteristic episodes.
It's gets bad sometimes.
Oh man ... forget about it.
I know there is no discrimination policies and morals in employments . but when its get too excessive and start causing issues to others then that's beyond that.

They gonna tell and screams at you like a military's boots camp staff Sargents even... But this is super market. LoL

Often they get smart ass and try to nail you down with anything they can get an access to .if they can't they tries to get numbers like a gang group.

I know an one mental disabled kid who is really good on coding on computer programmings and social media , forums in general .
First he start to raise his fabricated issues then spread his words with authority minded attitudes . Then. Gather numbers . But it's all his delusional projections over the target to what he wants to accomplish .
So he can enjoy and get entertainment out of someone who are utterly innocent but because of him the target needs to suffered for no apparent reasons .
My gosh! What he does to people for anything someone who ticked off his tiny little mind ! It's gets pure insanity. If it's like Forrest Gump that's lovely story but if not then it's just another nightmares.

For instance , I dont wanna say this but ... I'm pretty much sure this case below is similar to some real mental retardation case to my mind

Seems like most people want the parking spot closest to the grocery store door. I park close to a cart return, so after I load my groceries, it's right there.

If I needed to put items in a side door and the gap between vehicles was so tight I couldn't safely back the cart out, I'd just park the cart in back of my vehicle and suffer the agony of moving a few bags of stuff manually. IMHO, if it's too tight to back the cart out, it's too tight to push it in.

Yup, that's the way I would too . And sometimes those cart start to moving all by itself because of slight slope angle on a parking lot or by the wind . LoL

Reminds me of those baiting the police, get pulled over and then try to push the policeman's buttons videos, all with the intention of catching an escalating confrontation on video. Youtube bait at it's best appealing to the worst in people. One day the parking lot cart hero will encounter a guy who's waiting for an excuse to unload on him, be it whatever means hopefully without a fatal outcome. Something to consider. Not everyone is calm, reasonable and de-escalatory in the face of provocation.

My condolences.

I’m in the parking lot at the grocery store right now after getting my kefir and sauerkraut… The young lad who is tasked to round up the shopping carts looks like he should be cast in some musical depicting an Irish gang in the 1970s, all too eager and ready to take on more than he can chew. Not the kind of character that will make it to the end of the play. He’s angrily smashing the carts together and I am 100% sure he has a shiv in his back pocket.. maybe a couple of dreams and a song to sing in the other.

Those were pretty weird and amusing. Amazing how quickly some reasonalble-seeming folks lost their chit but alot of that was due to his applying the magnetic sticker to their cars which I suspect is crossing a legal line and hence the narc loses his high ground imo.
 
Idk. Afaik it is fairly well documented that most people feel their cars are an extension of their physical selves, which is why road rage is a thing. So tossing a magnet onto their car is akin to tossing a magnet into their face. It's a direct physical diss which most folks, rightly or wrongly, are unlikely to ignore.

2. However, I do get irritated at people who park in the handicap spot, and are obviously using someone else's designation & don't really need it. (family, etc) [I don't get vocal.]
3. I always return the cart. If someone thanks me, I respond: "I borrowed it; I will return it."

Yeah, I always like watching things like as a bit of psychological study. It's amazing what can set people off. I would guess that most people who end up on cart narcs are already having a bad day or life but it's still kind of mind blowing to just keep doubling down on the madness like some of these folks do.

I'm the kind of maniac that brings the cart all the way back into the store, I'm not sure what's wrong with me? :LOL:
 
What struck me about my experience was that any day I ever went to that store there were carts around being collected, as usual and the one time in about say 200? visits that I wasn't able to return my cart I found the looney tune or should I say he found me. Should have bought a lottery ticket.

Take the looney tune factor seriously. Every night there's a stabbing, shooting etc on the news. Don't end up there.
