Penguin Plunge

Dear fellow buzzers,

I will be jumping in the freezing cold ocean on January 1st to raise money for a great cause, Special Olympics of RI. Although I took last year off, I have been doing the plunge for almost a decade, and my uncle Frank Mitchell (RIP) was the very first Penguin and co-founder of the tradition, which now regularly draws about 1500 people to Mackerel Cove in Jamestown RI.

I got one going on as well my friend. It's great fun and super cold but the plunge is great cause.

Man I wouldnt even swim in that ocean in july 2 years ago,it was cold then.I couldnt imagine what its like now.

Tom we have one here in O.C. Md called the Polar Plunge which is is cold as ballzac and is AWESOME!! and it is a great cause so the pain is shared brother!! quik tip wear a wetsuit.

As a descendent of the original Jamestown Penguin, I would be ridiculed for all of eternity. The thought HAS crossed my mind some years, though!
