Palm Trimmer rescued by fire dept

collapsed palm skirt has man trapped. Not graphic, but not fun. Never have I seen a palm skirt on someone, just heard about it. This is sobering about what it means to have a palm skirt on a climber. Man survives. Rescue, not recovery.

I've seen many of those bad boyz out here in SO-CAL , they grow like weeds ...

wow, one lucky guy to walk away from that. Never having climbed a palm, it looks like it sucks no matter what. And that is a real danger

ABout 1:22 shows the danger of these palms. They sluff off and trap you. Doesn't matter if you have a saw if you can't move, or breath long enough to use it. Like jf1962 said, always trim down. Your life is worth the extra time it takes.
