A few weeks back I took down a rather large black cherry roughly 30" DBH... the thing was COVERED in poison ivy, and had to be climbed. It was a descent day... not too hot or cold, only bad part was a little bit of rain. I did the tree on a Thursday, and had started taking the Oral Ivy the Wednesday of the prior week. Not 1 spec of rash afterwards... however I did wear gloves and a long sleeve shirt for the climbing parts.
Yesterday I had the air spade out, and had to do some trunk flare excavation on a sugar maple of about the same diameter... This tree had 1 poison ivy vine on it, roughly 2" diameter. Again, not a bad day weather wise. I had done some other trees during the course of the day (none with PI) but neglected to wear gloves or a long sleeve shirt. By last night I started to get the rash going all over my body.
So... for all the non-believers, this stuff DOES work.
