One Minute Inside An Arborist's Head

Re: One Minute Inside An Arborist\'s Head

Good point, X. It's a good reminder that at times we may just need to vent and really wouldn't want the other party to hear/read it in that way.

[quoteI've been wanting to post on tree buzz for the last two years to ask if other users thought it would be a good idea to have a forum on here that was "members only", (must sign in with user ID name before you could read a "hidden" forum) called "VENT ABOUT IT", or something like that. Where we could vent about a terrible customer or maybe even co-workers or bosses; if they never get on the buzz.

I think this has merit and ought to be considered. Of course it cannot be entirely confidential, Most likely but it will keep out random lurkers and trollers.

The Tree Free forum is already members only it seems so why not another one. Makes sense to me.

HO: So if you could just make this tree smaller, maybe cut it back by a half?

A: I think the best thing to do here to mitigate sprouting and prevent serious decay initiation is to make smaller cuts, not as drastic a reduction as you suggest, but it will prove a better method in the long run.

HO: Oh, well you're the expert, just do what you think is right.

After 3.5 hrs of endweight reduction, deadwooding and sprout control the workers descend.

HO: So, you're going to bring the height down by half still, right?

A: Surely you jest?!?

HO: Oh...well, I suppose that this will do, if we want it lower we can just do it next year.

A: Yup, but don't call me.
