One handled chainsaw use

Justin. The videos are gone, same as Marks blog posts have been replaced: http://www.treemagineers.com/blog/we-can-do-better/ and today's a new day. If yesterday's news got people talking and considering the wisdom of their own work ethic, then great. The fact that 2 people with opposing views triggered off any such or similar debate is comparatively not so important. Thanks

Hey Reg, big respect to you and @Mark_B. Whilst I'm yet to meet either of you in person, I follow you here on the Buzz, YouTube and Mark's blog and appreciate your knowledge & options. Most of all, I appreciate the time you put into your contributions. I am certain many are better for it, I know I am a better climber for it.

Thanks for helping me in my climbing journey and being a part of the arb/ tree climbing community.
Cheers mate, Jason

The best part of this all is the focusing on "getting something good out of it" because, yes, we can all do better for those that wish us home safely everyday. Good on you, Reg and Mark!

there are a lot of tree videos of people cutting with nothing but one hand. Which to me looks really sloppy. There is no reason to make every cut one handed. A lot of these videos, on hand is holding on to the rope and the other hand is cutting. Regardless of safety, it just looks terrible.

On of my first jobs doing tree work, I was working for a company in Espanola, New Mexico. They had a two man bucket. my job was to hold the piece while my foreman cut it. Then I would throw it. That was our technique. Looking back, it wasn't really a bad technique at all. He kept both hands on the saw.
