Old Growth Douglas Fir climb Portland Oregon

I'm planning to go to Portland and do some Douglas Fir climbing. I know this is not much notice but if anyone is interested I would enjoy the company.

This weekend July 26th, 27th and or 28th.

Watch the poison oak on the forest floor out there. It's everywhere. Much bigger leaves than ours in the Southeast.

What a great climb! 250' TIP and approx 270' foot fir, "Film at 11" I'll try to put up some video and maybe the other guys will share some pics.

Fun climb--and we improved the lay of the throwline on the stem for the next. It was definitely an interesting feeling watching 300' of HTP disappear into the canopy 100' above you when setting the lines. Cheers all round.

Yah!!! Can you say portaledge, zip-line/speed-line from 250' to an adjacent tree and then to the ground, multiple climb lines, in-tree yo-yo tricks!

Leaving for Portland tomorrow, Friday, arriving around noon, heading to Washington to pick up my Portaledge that was delivered to my brothers house, probably head out to the site and get a nearby motel ready to start climbing Sat AM.
