Oak Removal

Brrrr. Wow, that wood looked really hard or really frozen. Nice job. Good vid. What lake is that? Thanks

Why wasn't the brush being processed as you were working? If I dropped wood onto a mixed up brush pile my ground guys would be really pissed.

I see a lot of people doing that. Sometimes my guess is an extra hand on the ground helps. I climb for a guy who does this to his guys from the bucket. We did two big spruces and he made a colossal pile of mess. At least I'll make sure everything falls the same way. Not in his case. Almost seems faster sometimes. More hands on the ground, and in my case I am the only one who can run the mini efficiently. Sorta like dropping a tree in one cut you can say.

Nice vid Casey, tell us more on the new chipper

Drooling over that chipper for sure Selner. Banjo, I'm assuming Casey was flying solo on this job, and probably didn't want to come down after each cut to stage brush.

I just don't like cleaning up big messes or having ground guys not doing much. I am lucky to have two ground guys with lots of experience though.
That chipper looks more like a Bandit to me but I haven't seen any small Moorbarks.

Hey guys thanks for the positive comments. I will get to all the questions when I get back to a computer. But to answer a few I was solo on this job so those few logs on the brush wasn't too bad to push around once I hit the ground. That is our new morbark. It is a m12r (I believe is the number) with a winch. I have some good video of the morbark that I will be editing soon.
Thanks again guys.
