Hi, NYC Parks is hiring a Project Development Coordinator for Forestry Training, reporting to the area of Flushing Meadows Park in Queens.
Key tasks include developing a citywide tree-work training and safety program for NYC Parks Forestry, leading trainings and coordinating ISA exams for all Forestry staff, researching and integrating best practices, and generally helping to promote change and build a modernized culture of safe and effective tree work.
ISA CA, TRAQ, prior training experience, a degree, and good writing skills are preferred. Need to be good with people.
The kicker is that you have to live in NYC (any of the boroughs) for 2 years. Non-negotiable, unless you happen to have already worked for NYC government in any other capacity for two years.
Don't be scared by the salary; the range is required on the postings.
PM if you want to talk about the job or about NYC Forestry. Happy to talk over the phone as well.
The job is posted at https://www.nycgovparks.org/opportunities/jobs, and the posting is also attached.
