New website launches,

We had to upgrade to a mobile optimized site due to the new google ranking analytics upgrades. If your site is not mobile optimized it could be problematic for your site to appear higher in organic rankings.

Nice job Mr Dunn! Did you write the text? I like it. I made a similar site awhile back and got a bunch of feedback.... Here are some thoughts that followed for me.

Less is More! There is a lot of good info on your site, maybe too much. Obviously it depends on the demographic you are going after but I would say that most potential clients are not going to peruse through all the info. Links are great for this, if people want to learn more or educate themselves load your site up with links.

Short and sweet is my approach. Your logo is awesome, the picture or your homepage is bleak and not very welcoming in my opinion, maybe that same shot in the summer? Nice job!

Marlin- we're doing ours now for the same reasons. Only thing I saw is you need "on staff" under the ISA CA logo. They beat me up for it a couple years back. We're doing a seasonal pic on the homepage, which for you could solve Levi's critique about the opening pic. I actually think that your B&W is cool. Statistics say "bright and inviting" is the way to go. Then again you know what they say about stats.

Great site! I also think some color on the front is more inviting. Not sure if you have any more landscape oriented pictures but in your galler, picture 31 of 32 May work! Nice work

I think this looks right in terms of textual offering and visuals, so I would not necessarily agree with downsizing what you have written because you are in a large marketplace for arborists, you are educating your potential and existing clients, and giving Google a lot to index plus links to other sites for reviews, etc.

I do wonder why you have not incorporated the logo you have on your avatar at the top of the header block rather than at the footer, because that should be an immediately recognizable device to tell people they reached YOUR website. I would consider altering that.

I also think it would be good if you could give a pop of color to the home page with the social media links, and making them stand out by using their native color scheme (blue for Facebook, red for Yelp! etc...)

Nice you've linked the testimonials tab to outside review sources and I hope you will solicit reviews on those platforms as fast as possible. One nice trick is to give happy clients a little card that has a QRC code to go straight to those reviewing sources by scanning with their mobile phones and giving you a rating at least.

Hope this is helpful.

Carol
