New top handle Husqvarna T 540 XP

Will this one become the next saw to beat?
I think this saw is a Husky for real and not a rebadged Zenoah.

But you can't do anything else than agree that there is a long, very long interval between new models made by the Stihl brand.
The 020AV was long past its expiring date when it was released by the 020T. An update to the MS200 made the best even better, but a complete rebirth would do the ergonomics a lot of good.

IMHO this new husky will set the number one to a humbling second place and will make me switch to the Scandinavian build brand for the first time in my life.

I wish the 200t would revert back to the old metal case ones. 1st guy I worked for bought up about 12 of them when they discontinued them. Oh man that was a work horse and at the time, so was I.

Crank case, or side covers? Crankcases are still made of Magnesium, side covers are plastic though.

I think that's called Alzheimer PrimeApe...

Those stupid out of balance machines with anorexia top handles that gave you Popeye fore arms just to get the saw in the right position (yes in those days we all one handed the 020).

I don't know what your 020AV looked like but my orange cover didn't extend over the whole side of the saw leaving the HOT exhaust free to melt through my pants and leaving burn marks on my left leg.

O, and then there was that lovely 'always starting' part... NOT.

There are not many moments that I really looked forward to more than the release of the 020T so I could ditch the 020AV.
