New Scarpa Boots

I got these new Scarpa Boots. These are nice. I ordered a pair for me and my groundie.

But, that is not the real reason for this post. I'm really impressed with Zappos service. I ordered the boots Sunday night. I got them Next Day Air Monday evening.

FREE SHIPPING!!!

So that is my rave.

Here is a rant:

I ordered $1,700 dollars worth of gear from a reputable supply company. The shipping was $60. So, I attached a note on the online order asking if I could get free shipping. (It ain't much, but I thought I'd give it a try). Well, I was impressed with a personal phone call and $20 dollars off the shipping, but I honestly thought I'd get it for free.

Was I fair comparing one online company to another?

I haven't had a chance to foot lock yet, but I figure those boots will do real well.

Jamin, Zappos is twenty minutes down the road from me, The one thing I don't like about the place is they won't let you go there and try on footwear. They do have a return/ used section where you can stumble upon some really awesome deals. Those boots look sweet!
