New saddle

I'm looking at the Tree Motion and Tree Flex right now, since I'll probaly be getting one or the other. I know they are very similar in design and cost about the same. Right now I'm leaning towards the TM, since I've read only good things about it and it looks better than the TF. Any opnions???

Re: Trying to choose between the TM and TF

Never mind. This is just way to far out of my price range. Until I od this for a living I can't justify this. So between the BF 2, Master Deluxe, and Blair UL, and New Tribe, what would you choose.

Re: Trying to choose between the TM and TF

Go with something with a bridge with a floating or sliding attachment. You'll be much happier.

Re: Trying to choose between the TM and TF

Ok, thanks. I just talked with someone from Sierra Moreno (Don Blair company) about the Blair UL and he said you really get what you pay for. He said their very comfortable, etc. I think I will probaly go with that one, since I already know how it feels, since my Dad has one, etc. Thanks for your help guys

Re: Trying to choose between the TM and TF

Maybe you should take a quick look into Tree Magic too, lightweight, numerous adjustment possibilities (guess you´re still growing)really comfortable. You can choose between two delta rings or one large D ring on the bridge.
Cheers

Re: Trying to choose between the TM and TF

Hey stumper, what New Tribe do you have. I noticed that most of them have a sliding D, does this really work????? And can you put a Petzl rigging plate in the biner for more attachment points???? And is it modular???? Thanks

Re: Trying to choose between the TM and TF

I have a Tengu and like it better than my Glide. The center attachment point was a little strange at first but I adjusted quickly. From what I heard there is no problem using a PAW or similar to get more tie in points. As for the sliding D, if you clip into those, your center of gravity changes and makes you very top heavy, meaning you tend to tip backwards. I really like the NT Tengu and wish I had not got the Glide last year. By the way the Glide is a great saddle, just not as comfy as NT.

Re: Trying to choose between the TM and TF

Butch, Sort of. The D on the leg strap bridge floats but is linked to the waist. This gives you independent leg movement but you don't get the body rotation capabilities of a conventional bridge. I like it.

Re: Trying to choose between the TM and TF

Here's a pic of what Stumper describes so people don't get confused. You can see how your legs are able to move through the D, but it is indeed not a floating bridge.
